The elementary division took a ride on The Magic School Bus on December 16, 2009. Students visited places from their own senses to the bottom of the ocean, and every place was an opportunity to explore science. At the end of the excursion, lunch was served, and students went outdoors to play during recess.

The Beginning

Under the Sea

Students had a chance to listen to a story about the bottom of the sea, and fish for trinkets.

Senses

All five senses were utilized in this room.

Electricity

The properties of electricity were shown via magnets and batteries.

Cake

Science can be found everywhere, including a cupcake.

Body

This room came complete with a snot-making station (it was a mixture of top-secret ingredients) and places where students could label various body parts.

Oceans and Predation

The food cycle was presented here, in the form of whack-the-prey-hand-puppet-with-an-inflatable-toy.

Atoms

The little things that make everything were colorfully illustrated on shirts the students could wear later.
